Block-A-Way [2006]
Windows, MS Excel![]() Windows, MS Excel ![]() Windows, MS Excel | The gameBlock-A-Way is just another tetris-like falling
blocks game with a twist that it's made solely using Microsoft Excel
and it's scripting facilities (Visual Basic for Applications). So with
a single (small) .xls file download you can start playing the game right now. Just remember to enable macros or otherwise the game won't run. The
game features differently coloured levels, highscore list and a boss
key function. Just press ESC if your boss comes in when you're in the
middle of playing. He/she will see a boring budget-like spreadsheet
instead. =) DownloadNoticeTetris is a registered trademark of

Requirements
Block-A-Way requires for you to have Microsoft Excel 2000 or later on a Windows enviroment (*).
(*) Game won't work with Mac-versions of Microsoft Excel because of direct Windows API calls for decent keyboard support.
(*) Running Microsoft Excel in some emulated Windows-like enviroments like Wine and CrossOver Office could work, but haven't been tested.
(*) Game won't work in OpenOffice.org or Star Office.
Source code
The
single download also includes source code as it is interpreted during
gameplay. There is no point of releasing the plain source code as it is
somewhat linked to the Excel sheets as well. The source code is written
in Visual Basic for Applications 6.0 (VBA).
